He's at it again.
The Chief is building me another bed. The south corner of our front yard is about the only patch where I can plant full-sun flowers, but has quite a slope to it and is 99% clay, despite my efforts over the past several years to improve it. The Chief has now used some landscaping logs to build up that corner. He dumped in 5 bags of topsoil and a bit of peat moss today, is going back for more topsoil tomorrow to fill it in and top it up. Then we'll replant the phlox that was there, and I've got 2 ice plants I picked up a few weeks ago that will also go in. God willing, they'll do better with some proper dirt; I'd love to see them thrive and fill that corner with color. Pictures to come once the plants are moved into their new home.
